Before Louis Tomlinson was a judge on X Factor, before he began his solo career, before he and One Direction found international success, he was just one of five lads competing on the X Factor. As part of the X Factor experience, competitors made video diaries. If you've never watched the One Direction X Factor video diaries, you're missing out! Louis often plays host or emcee of these diaries and his theater background is evident as he takes on different voices during these videos.
Louis Tomlinson has been assigned to look after the Boys this year as mentor and during today's taping, he'll be filling up his six chairs. During the Six Chair Challenge the contestants narrowed down to six per group. Each contestant in the Boys category will sing in front of judges and audience. Louis then decides if they deserve one of six seats, but they could be knocked out if Louis decides to replace them with a subsequent performer that he likes better. The six left in the chairs at the end win a spot at Louis' judge's houses, the last stage before the live finals. In a video posted yesterday, Louis said the Six Chair Challenge was even more brutal than he thought it would be and that he was nervous for his category, hoping that everyone delivers today.
Louis' mentoring skills have been praised by fans attending the tapings, but we here at LTHQOfficial.com aren't surprised. Louis is a multi-faceted talent! If you haven't checked out our article about Louis Tomlison: The Singer, The Songwriter, The Mentor, The Philantropist, please do!
Since going solo, Louis has released Just Hold On with Steve Aoki, Back to You with Bebe Rexha, Just Like You, and Miss You. He's also teased a few singles from his debut album, which is expected out sometime this year. Check out this behind the scenes video from the filming of Back To You!
