Here's a throwback for Tasty Tuesday to when Louis Tomlinson was spotted at a KFC in October 2015.
Louis was spotted just over a year later a KFC in Doncaster as well.
Speaking of KFC, the restaurant chain featured prominently in the creation of One Direction's hit, Midnight Memories. "Midnight Memories" was written by John Ryan, Jamie Scott, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Julian Bunetta. During the writing process, the chorus hadn't been completed yet so the guys were substituting words as a placeholder while they sorted out the song and one of the phrases was "I love KFC". Julian Bunetta posted the audio that got recorded from that songwriting session, which gave a fascinating look into the One Direction writing process.
Liam Payne told the story during an interview of how they sang "I love KFC" for the chorus, with the refrain, "Chicken! Chicken! Chicken! Chicken!"
Zayn Malik and Louis both confirmed the story and once the audio was posted, the fans got to hear that early version of the song.
Here's the finished product - Midnight Memories (no chicken references made the final cut). The song was released on 20 November 2013, five days prior to the release of the album, and debuted at number three on the Irish Singles Chart the following day. It has since peaked in the top 10 of nine other countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Spain.
Midnight Memories is one of the 37 One Direction songs that Louis wrote on during his years with One Direction. Louis has been hard at work on his debut album, which is expected out sometime this year. As a solo artist, Louis has released Just Hold On with Steve Aoki, Back To You with Bebe Rexha, Just Like You, and Miss You. We also heard a few snippet that could be from his debut album.
Louis is currently preparing for the Six Chair Challenge on X Factor 2018. The Six Chair Challenge starts taping August 1. Louis will be assigned his category, which we may find out as soon as today. During the Six Chair Challenge, Louis will fill his six chairs with contestants he likes best as they perform. But, contestants winning seats can be booted from their seat if Louis likes a subsequent performer better. From there, contestants will progress to the live shows. Bootcamp has apparently been dropped for this year. The rumored start date for X Factor to begin airing is Saturday, September 1 on ITV, with the live shows starting in late October and running through early December.
Fans who attended the tapings have appreciated Louis' judging style, which is said to be very constructive, often giving technical advice. He also has comforted contestants who were nervous or upset. Having gone through the process himself, he probably knows all about what contestants are experiencing as they audition.
With one more day before it's back to X Factor tapings, fans are eagerly waiting to see what Louis will wear for the Six Chair Challenge. We featured Louis' X Factor outfits so far and our Friday Fave poll declared the fan-favorite outfit to be the Stella McCartney No Smile, No Service shirt with Gosha Rubchinskiy x Adidas sneakers.
