About Louis Tomlinson
Louis Tomlinson is a 27-year-old Doncaster-born singer and songwriter who shot to stardom in 2010 after appearing on the UK-based talent show, The X Factor. As an integral member of the band One Direction, Tomlinson rose to meteoric worldwide success following the band’s third-place finish on the talent show.
Not only was he prominently featured in each of the band’s five studio albums and four EPs, but he also co-wrote a staggering 37 songs for the group - including an impressive 12 out of 18 songs on the band's third album, "Midnight Memories". Following the beginning of the band’s hiatus in 2015, Louis embarked on his own highly successful solo career. In 2016, he released his first single - a collaboration with EDM artist Steve Aoki called “Just Hold On”.
All of Tomlinson’s subsequent solo projects have been met with both critical and popular acclaim. He has since released three more tracks - “Back To You” featuring singer Bebe Rexha, “Just Like You”, and “Miss You”.
In July 2018, Tomlinson was announced as a judge on The X Factor UK 2018. His background as a contestant on the show, combined with his interest in mentoring, made him an ideal candidate for the job. Fellow judge and singer Robbie Williams said Louis' judging is "incredibly eloquent, thoughtful and smart." Also in July 2018, Mark Gillespie and Matt Vines were announced as Louis' new co-managers.
The future is undoubtedly bright for Tomlinson; fans are eagerly anticipating his debut album (due for release in 2019) along with a solo tour (dates coming soon). Whatever is to come for Louis Tomlinson, one thing is certain: his projects will be characterized by his tireless work ethic, refreshing creativity, and unique vocal and lyrical style.
