The theme for tonight’s show was Fright Night. The show was pre-taped due to Robbie having to leave to go on tour. The results show will be live tomorrow with Nile Rodgers filling in for Robbie. Yesterday, Louis tweeted, “Last day of rehearsals today before the big day tomorrow! Would love a week off having someone in the bottom two! Couldn’t be more proud of the lads this week!“
Dermot was dressed Dracula. Robbie was dressed as Simon. Ayda was like wearing black lace. Louis wore his Eyes Wide Open shirt (i.e., no costume lol) and Simon was a mummy.
Molly was up first singing Toxic. Louis liked it but thought the creative was too old for her (she looked a bit uncomfortable).
Dalton Harris was first up. He said in the video that Jamaicans don’t do the Halloween stuff. He sang Creep by Radiohead. He looked and sounded amazing and all the judges had positive comments for him.
United Vibe was next. They sang Bleeding Love. Louis still thought they were performing as 5 individuals. They aren’t going to change the name.
Shan was next singing Sound of Silence. Louis said she’s one of the most talented in the competition. He didn’t think it was completely the right song.
Danny was next singing Queen’s Who Wants To Live Forever. This is where sound problems began to appear on the playback. The sound was garbled for viewers at home. Louis wasn’t sure at first if the song was right but his emotional connection made it better.
Anthony was up next singing Demons. The sound was still garbled. Louis said, “Every single week I am so proud of you. There’s nobody having as much fun as you and everyone at home sees it.”
They fixed the sound, but Danny and Anthony’s performances were totally garbled for the audience at home. Nevertheless, they forged ahead.
Misunderstood sang Thriller. Louis said their confidence was amazing and that they bring the performance every week. He thought the vocals were a little shaky at times, but overall a really good performance.
Scarlett sang Put A Spell on You. She had a family emergency and had a few days off when her brother’s house burned down. She did a great performance and got a standing ovation from the judges. Louis said, “You know I’m a massive fan of yours. I thought everything, everything about that performance was absolutely brilliant.” He said it was a credit to her that she doesn’t have to move around the stage, she just sings and it was brilliant.
Aaliyah and Acacia were next singing Jump. Louis said, “You know I absolutely love you guys and I think you have huge potential as artists. I’m worried that we’ve lost you a little bit in this performance.” He felt that the performance had gone backwards. It was less cool than he thinks they are.
Bella was next. She did fine but Simon is always wanting the judges to stand up for his acts. Louis was proud she took on a big vocal and “smashed it out of the park.”
Brendan was next sing Young Blood by 5 Seconds Of Summer. Robbie and Ayda thought he was better than last week. Simon thought it was a bit lightweight still. Louis defended Brendan saying give him credit for coming outside his comfort zone.
Last was Giovanni singing Live and Let Die. Louis was speechless after the performance. Louis said, “I’m not going to lie the first time I ever saw you perform, I would have been happy to never see it again.” He said every time he’s seen him perform since then, he likes him a little bit more and that tonight he decided, “you’re alright.” Louis went for a handshake and got a hug instead.
